- Paper and card: newspapers, magazines, envelopes and cardboard boxes
- Plastic: bottles, pots, tubs and trays
- Metal: drinks cans, food tins, clean foil and empty aerosols
- Glass: bottles and jars
- Cartons: food and drinks cartons, like juice and soup cartons
- Food waste: all food, cooked or raw, including peelings, bones, tea bags and coffee grounds, collected every week
Plastic bags and wrapping will be added by 31 March 2027. Some councils are still bringing in some of these collections.
Which bin each one goes in depends on your council. Check South Oxfordshire District Council's website, or use the Recycle Now Recycling Locator.
